Class Field Trip
Thank you to all the parents who helped make our class field trip such a success!

Parents—please note that our class will be meeting at the Utah Museum of Fine art on this day. If you are in the 6 Week  Basic Art class ages 9-12 (which meets on Tuesdays), the time differs from our usual class time. We plan to meet at the entrance and will spend an hour and a half sketching, discussing art, and learning from other artists. Make sure you are available to pick up your child at the end of our field trip. If you would like to attend the museum with your child, please feel free to join us, however you will need to pay for your own admission. All student admission fees are provided.




Art Gallery Night

Bring family and friends to admire all of the hard work you have put into your amazing creations! The gallery night marks the end of our fun summer classes. We hope to see you again next summer!




In addition to the classes offered during the summer, several workshops will be available as well. Mark your calendars, you won't want to miss these exciting events!

Workshops Available


Paper crafting: "Dolly's Dream Home"       August 20th, 2011
Create your own doll house using chipboard and various materials. Build a dream house out of a pretend "milk" carton customized to your personal style!  Take a momentary break from decorating to enjoy a tea party on the lawn.

Kit includes: 
color coordinating supplies
wallpaper, carpet, 2 Popsicle stick picture frames, 1 doll, materials for the following furniture: chandelier,  vanity, bed, chair, chest of drawers, and bookcase. Also includes: book(s), vase with flowers, "mirror", and toy. Milk carton is pre-constructed and all decorating will be completely up to you and your child's imagination!

All supplies needed for construction will be supplied. 
Building: "Robot Construction"
September 6th, 2011
Build your own robot using tin cans along with many fun materials. Decorate and paint your new friend and enjoy treats on the lawn.

Learn to bind your own books to make journals, notebooks, comic books,  and even books that might one day house your own novel. Students will create 3 one-of-a-kind books that they can fill with whatever their imaginations come up with.

Miscellaneous Crafts:  "Bone Rattling Party Kit" October

Put together your own crafted Halloween Party, creating handmade invitations, decorations, and party favors. Have fun planning a party that will bring chills to anyone who gets invited! Students will enjoy a taste of their own poison as they experience a little bit of what their party will be like. Refreshments and games will accompany their crafting day.

Get ready for the holiday season with your child by making homemade wrapping paper, gift tags, and personalized greeting cards. Learn new ways to make prints and stamps. And enjoy creating vibrant colored patterns for all your holiday wrapping needs. Cookies and milk will be provided for all working elves.

Summer TBA
Enjoy an afternoon building your own cardboard car! Parts will be prefabricated and available to assemble. Paint and decorate your new ride with personalized details, and then take your new car for a spin through the "drive through" for refreshments.
